Ella Adkison is the president of the Owensville High School Student Council (STUCO), treasurer of the National Honor Society, the secretary for the class of 2026, and involved in many other activities, which means she has a busy schedule. Since the 2026 Homecoming (HOCO) is next week, Adkison has to wake up earlier than usual and get to school around 7:45 a.m. for a meeting with the other STUCO officers about HOCO plans. In the meeting, they discussed the pep assembly, spirit week, coronation, and the HOCO dance.
After the meeting ends, she goes to the athletic office to start morning announcements with senior Hannah Gehlert.
Once she is done with the announcements, she goes to her first couple of classes of the day, which are child development, American pop/reel, English comp two and Dutchtime.
During Dutchtime she either goes to Mr. Rick Hardy's room (the STUCO adviser) or she goes to Mr. Tyler Ahring’s room to work on the HOCO wall. After Dutchtime she goes to TV Studio, lunch, college algebra, international foods, then to anatomy/physiology to end her school day.
After all this, she either goes to soccer practice, then goes straight back to the school to work on the HOCO wall, or she goes to work, sporting events, or other school activities.
In addition to these events, Adkison attends the board meetings every month to discuss district activities as the student body representative. After her full day of school, practice or work, and other events, she goes home and finishes her school work, then heads to bed to start all over again.
