Owensville DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is proud to launch this year’s Angel Tree project, a tradition that brings our school and community together to brighten the holidays for families in need.
Students are invited to select an “angel” tag from the decorated tree in Mrs. Krammes’ classroom. Each tag represents a child and includes their age, gender, and a short wish list. By choosing a tag and purchasing the suggested gifts, classmates can help make the season a little brighter for a child in our community.
DECA President Lily Barker explained,
“Our Angel Tree was started three years ago by Mrs. Kramme when she started teaching her business class. The goal of our Angel Tree is to help families in our community who are not as fortunate as others. I think the Angel Tree is a great idea because everyone deserves some cheer at Christmas, and it is the best way to help put smiles on children's and their parents' faces.”
