The Owensville Trap team had a strong season in 2025, traveling to several competitions across the region.
According to Mollie Jo Henneke, the team sponsor, the team “hit the range at Hermann on Sept. 1, Washington on Sept. 20, Vienna on Oct. 4, and finished in Rolla on Nov. 8.” Although a planned shoot at the Franklin County Farm Fest on October 18 was rained out, the team maintained its momentum. Leading the squad was top shooter Tucker Sassmann, followed by George Vandegriffe, Trever Gillespie, Pierce Schlottach, and Grant Huebler.
“With skill, focus, and teamwork, Owensville ended the season on a high note, with the A team getting 6th place,” Henneke said. The team also expressed gratitude to the Owensville Gun Club, with Henneke adding, “Thanks to the Owensville Gun Club for your support and facilities, where all of the trap teams practice.”
